Betty Lou Miller Reynolds was born June 28, 1933 up Brackett Creek at Clyde Park, MT. She quietly passed into the arms of the Lord surrounded by her loving family, May 9, 2025 after a long fought battle with Alzheimer’s.
She was the fourth of ten children and was raised and attended schools in the Shields Valley area and graduated from Park County High in Livingston, MT.
While visiting her brother at Seattle Naval Base, her brother’s buddy Jim took a liking to her. After Jim’s discharge and many rodeo events, they were married on January 8, 1956.
They settled in Philipsburg, MT, which became their forever home and raised their three children.
Mom was active in the community being a member of Eastern Star. She took pride in leading children in Campfire Girls and as a Den mother for Scouts. She worked at the school as Elementary secretary and hot lunch clerk for 28 years. After retiring, mom and dad traveled on the motorcycle and then their motorhome. They served as Good Sam State Officers and cherished many new friendships.
Mom loved supporting her children as well as all her grandchildren and great grandchildren in all they did. She loved her Grizzly football and would be seen all dolled up in her maroon and silver, right down to “griz paws” on her cheeks.
She also enjoyed playing the piano, singing and dancing with dad, playing cards and was a champ at cribbage.
She leaves behind her loving and devoted husband of 69 years Jim (Bub), son Chuck (Mary) Reynolds, daughters LouAnn (Dave) Engen, Connie (Roger) Hepburn, ten grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, sisters Donna Shelske, Joyce (Bill) Clausen and Judy (Gene) Parker and numerous other relatives and friends.
Until we see you again mom, you will be loved and missed and forever in our hearts.
Services will be held Saturday May 17 at 1:00 pm at the Community Church in Philipsburg MT. There will be an open house celebration immediately following at the church.
In lieu of flowers, remembrance contributions can be sent to the Citizen Alliance Bank, PO Box 10 in Philipsburg MT 59858, under Betty Reynolds. These funds will be used to support the music department at Granite High School.

My mom, Shirley Finn, was head cook for the Philipsburg schools for a few years. Dear Betty worked at the school at the same time. Mom was happy to have a friend she could go to for whatever she needed. Betty was a good friend and such a beautiful lady, inside and out.
Our condolences to the Reynolds family
