Bessie Lee Schofield, 96, peacefully passed away in her home on the morning of November 10, 2021. Bessie loved the Lord with all her heart. She also loved reading the Bible, fishing, cooking, being in nature, and most of all she loved her family and friends.
Bessie formed a deep loving relationship with her long term care giver Shawna Stevenson. Shawna says, “Bessie was my shining star and angel. I was blessed to be able to take care of her and I will miss her dearly.”
Bessie was a pure soul and brightened the lives of all the people she met. She was a great mother and friend.
Bessie was preceded in death by her husband (Marvin) and daughter (Leisa). Bessie has one surviving child, Delilah, and several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Bessie’s memorial, which was privately organized by her family, is being held 1-3 pm on Saturday November 27, 2021 located at the Columbus Plaza, 1515 Oregon Ave.
