Awe papa, I am so very honored to have meet you. I will never forget when you called me just a few days before you passed. You said when you get home you’re going to take me out. I said papa that sounds like a date and you said yup. You will go out on that date. Gracie will be cherished all of her life. Love and miss you always.

Perhaps my fondest memory of Dad was the summer Kenny and I spent with him and family in 1969. We were lucky to spend time with Dad fishing at the cabin, playing with and watching fireworks in Butte, trekking up a mountainside to grandmas house with many of the cousins like we were Indiana Jones, many years before Indiana Jones. Dad even took the time to take us to the Oakland Zoo – what a summer. I’ll never forget being 7 at the cabin and Ken and I seeing one of the poles being yanked across the lake, forever gone we thought, fish on. Dad jumps in his boat and chases it down. Unfortunately, pole only – fish gone. That must’ve been some fish. I’m glad Dad finally caught up to that big guy. I know Dad’s smiling down upon us now. We miss you greatly Dad – you knew we would!
Happy Father’s Day Dad; I hope you are having fun with the “old gang”.
