We all loved Papa Bert. Seemed like he’d be here forever for all of us to talk to, lift our spirits, and learn from his positivity and wisdom of life, the value of hard work and being a good leader and mentor. So many wonderful memories of camping, fishing, boating and summertime happiness. Time goes to fast, but I am so grateful to have had so many years with him. Really going to miss being able to give him a call to talk about mining adventures and heavy equipment.

My deepest condolences to the Beavis family. Al was such a kind person to me and my husband Manuel. I will never forget him. We had a beautiful bear carving in our yard for more than 15 years that Al did for us. I was so sad when it got too old and toppled over. I never did tell Al that we no longer had it. We will miss him and keep him in our prayers.

Our sadness is extended to the family of our friend “Bert” Beavis. He was a true friend of my parents Pete and Darlene Patacini. He helped my dad with so much out at our ranch in Whitehall over the years. Your parents would come out for dinner, a little drinking, and a lot of laughing. They were the kindness people and my parents enjoyed visiting them in Butte as well. My dad called him the Mayor of Walkerville. He helped me with my horse for 4-H and my sons and I visited him last summer and he showed off his totems and his fish cravings. I really cared about him as he was such a sweetheart. Due to the restrictions of travel, I haven’t brought my mom to butte this summer, now we won’t be able to see him. That makes me sad. He is an angel in heaven, sitting there with dad and telling a big story. God Bless you Bert! My best to you all, Peg Patacini
